Standards of Faith

  According to God’s Word, we believe and therefore are prepared to defend the following:

1.  The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Holy Word of God.  (Psalm 119; Matthew 4:4; Luke 24:27)
2. There is only one God the Father, one Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and one Holy Ghost; united perfectly in will, in spirit, in mind and eternal purpose, in the Almighty Godhead which has existed and will exist forever and ever.  (I John 5:7)
3. Jesus Christ is the Son of God; in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, the atoning power of His death, bodily resurrection, ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His future return to this earth to reign with power and glory.  (John 1:1-4; Ephesians 2:13-18; Revelation 19 & 20)
4. In the blessed hope of the rapture of the Church at Christ’s coming.  (I Thessalonians 4:13-18)
5. Faith in Jesus Christ, His precious life sacrificed on the cross and repentance is the only means for salvation and cleansing from sin. (John 3:15 and 16; Romans 5:1)
6. For personal salvation, justification, and sanctification; regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.  (John 3:5-8; Titus 3:5)
7. In answer to believing prayer, healing of the body, mind, soul and spirit is completed through the finished work of Christ.  (Exodus 15:25-26; James 5:14-15; I Peter 2:24)
8. In the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and in the manifestations of the spiritual gifts.  (Acts 2:4; 10:44-46; 19:1-7; I Corinthians 12:7-11)
9. A Christian is able to live a holy life only through the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit.  (Romans 6:13-14; 8:1-2, 11)
10. Man will be resurrected either to eternal damnation or eternal life.  (Revelation 20:5-6, 11 & 15)
11. In the full outreach ministry of the Church as set forth in our Lord Jesus Christ’s great commission.  (Matthew 25:35-46; 28:19-20)
12. Participating in all the ordinances as set forth for the New Testament Church.  (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 19:2-6)
